On Writing

Good Morning,

Long before I began the journey to write a book, trying to capture the thought with enough words to make it sound right, I was on a different path. Painting is expressing thoughts without words.

One of my paintings, a 6′ X 5′ piece, is actually called, “Thoughts Without Words.” I tried to encapsulate what a thought looked like, how it feels, how it is. It’s here, so you can see it.

IMGP0789 It works for me, containing abstract, logic, uncertainty, color, line, shape; thoughts contain many things but when they are organized, they have a defined pattern.

Now I find myself writing books and the process is so very similar, yet vastly different. It is one thing to have a thought, but quite another to put it into words so the reader can follow, be entertained (if that is the goal), be enightened, or just be able to get through it and have an understanding of what the thought truly is.

I confess, I love both styles of expression.

Have a wonderful day!

Funtastic Friday!!

Well, it was a great Friday! Worked Twitter and gained some more followers, and so far have written nearly 1000 words in Book 4, Andromeda, of The Wilson Chronicles.

Now to share some delicious Chardonnay with my beautiful wife, have a gourmet dinner, not sure what, and maybe watch a movie.

Life is good!!

Added Photo Page

We have been so many places. If you follow this link to my Facebook page, The Wilson Chronicles, you can find a lot of photos and video of our recent Mediterranean Vacation! We had a total blast exploring, celebrating, tasting, walking; it was a wonderful journey.

I will start putting photos and videos on the photo page of this website going forward. As always, if you have an questions or comments, drop me a line!

Deluxe!!

Made that lemon/garlic shrimp skewers and they were delicious! Used Wild Rosemary infused olive oil versus regular. Just the right tartness from the lemon, a gentle follow through with the garlic, but nothing too overpowering. Delicious!

Finally!

Well, it took some doing, but the page is online! I was surprised at how quickly this happened. But glad as well!

Now to go try a new shrimp recipe. We are making some lemon/garlic shrimp skewers using a recipe from Rutherford Hill. Should be delicious!

Building the Webpage

Talk about an adventure in frustration! This is only challenging because I have never done this before. Oh, I know how to navigate  webpage, add comments and do other things; but climbing behind the page to the creation of the page, now that’s a more difficult activity.

I’m hoping the dummies book I bought will help, but at this point, I’m not confident! I suppose you will know if it worked when I post this page. It might take a few days!

Anybody else had challenges getting into this technology?

Have a great day!
