The Wilson Chronicles, Book 1: Unlimited Possibility.
The story originated as a novel from a simple idea. What would it be like to suddenly come into a huge sum of money, trillions of dollars, and suddenly be the richest person in human history? How would that feel? What would you do?
In order to build the story I envisioned, there were a few underlying themes I wanted to follow. 1) Demonstrate solid values based on faith and belief in God, 2) discuss the extinction issues facing our species and discuss solutions, 3) show that people working together can achieve remarkable results, and, 4) empower strong females in leading roles.
To bring all of these themes together I created some characters. They were created as the people who got us to the stars. These individual characters experience pain, loss, love, suffering, and the hope for a better future. Stephanie and Heather, who lost their parents at an early age, yet came from very different backgrounds. Stephanie was a bodyguard, while Heather was a movie star. Jeffrey, who lost the love of his life and suddenly became the richest human in history.
This book includes the romance and adventures of these key characters, along with others who will take different roles in future books. Together they create the science of science fiction, and begin the journey of the Wilson family, in this foundational book for the chronicle.
The Wilson Chronicles, Book 2: Lightspeed!
The second book in the chronicles builds on book one, adding more of the science elements to the story in an effort to achieve those things necessary to insure the survival of the species. The characters roles change, but the underlying themes remain the same.
This book includes acts of terrorism, bravery, romance and the adventures of new characters, while focusing on movement towards our future journey into space. The human drama is key to the story, but the story is about movement, growth, and eventual conquest of challenges.
The Wilson Chronicles, Book 3: Federation to Empire
This continues the story of the heartache, passion, joy, romance, fighting, pain, loss, and challenge of creating the future. Action and adventure are in full force for the Wilson Family! Managing chaos! Traveling the stars! Building the first true Federation of planets! Discovering we are not alone! Building a Star Fleet! A new Empire is born! Erica, the President of JW Enterprises, passes the torch to Arabella. Between them, they add the task of managing the Great Diaspora of billions of people from Earth to the stars.
I really enjoyed writing this book. This book, more than any other, expands the story into the stars and the possibilities that may be waiting for us there.
The Wilson Chronicles, Book 4: Andromeda
A wonderful conclusion to the story of the Wilson Family. At least, it’s a conclusion for now.
The Wilson Chronicles concludes with the fourth book, Andromeda, bringing more discoveries of heart, mind, and technology to the challenge of living in the stars and surviving in the grand drama of the universe! The Empire is under attack! Galaxy against galaxy as exoskeleton wrapped humans launch techno-bots and invade from the Andromeda Galaxy with far superior weaponry! Growing Leadership; Managing Developmental Chaos
My first leadership book discusses the process of developing leaders. In my career I have seen many examples of leadership development. Usually they involve letting someone else or some classroom activity substitute for hands-on work. This is also in an environment of chaos, whether because of the job and industry or because of the chaotic nature of the action.
What people need is a means to bring the leader and follower together. They need to work together as a team in order to bring the follower up to the capacity, knowledge and skill of leadership. That is the goal of this book, almost a workbook for two people, but still a positive book for an individual to read both for professional and personal growth.
Principled Leadership; A Balancing Act for a Lifetime.
Becoming a leader is only part of the work. The other part is sustaining it. This book is about that. It is about finding those principles that sustain you through life’s adversities. How do you weather the storm? What are the foundations upon which you build your life?
The cover is my own painting, depicting the reality of the human balancing in place while the whirl of life creates chaos trying to knock you down. Only sound principles can prevent that.
